Miss Me?

Don't worry I haven't really gone anywhere. I have just moved to a new location. If you have found yourself missing Mavelle style's blog posts then head on over to our new home Mavellestyle.com to see all of my latest posts. In fact if you didn't know about the great blog migration then chances are you probably missed my 8-Days of Holiday Gift Guides. Why the move you ask? Well, for one, the new site is a lot easier for all of you to navigate and to read all of my blog posts on your phones. That is a huge bonus. And two, as much as I have loved using Blogger for the past 3 years it just felt like it was time for me to "grow-up." 

Blogger is a great platform when you are getting started (in fact I am going to kind of miss it because it was so easy to use, behind the scenes, oh and it is free) but now that Mavelle is growing my website and hosting capabilities and a whole lot of other behind the scene boring stuff needed to grow too.

Happy Anniversary Mavelle!

I am putting on my party dress and celebrating! 

Three years ago I decided to start a little thing called a blog. I was inspired by all the bloggers I was following and continue to be inspired by today as well as seeking a creative outlet.

I have always wanted to be a writer and the idea channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw was kind of exciting. I guess if I was really channeling my inner Carrie I'd write about the search for love but considering I was a newlywed when I started Mavelle Style I had already landed my "Big" so fashion it was. Plus, I am kind of obsessed with fashion so it was a natural decision that style would be the primary focus of my blog.

Hats for Fall are an Absolute MUST!

It is no secret that I am a HUGE lover of hats. Really any type of head piece is high on my list...from flower crowns to baseball caps, I am a fan. I have been wearing hats as long as I can remember...and then some. 

Fall + Boots = Love

I know I have told you all this before but I will say it again, and probably again after that...I LOVE FALL FASHION!

Boots are one of the main reasons I love fall fashion...although to be quite honest I don't necessarily wait until fall to wear boots. Some styles can be worn all season long, like peep-toe booties.

Fall In Love With Plaid Maxi Tunics!

It is officially fall, y'all and I am one happy fashion blogger! 

Why am I so happy? Because I LOVE fall fashion. The sweaters, the boots, the scarves and all that flannel and plaid has got me all giddy inside. Speaking of giddy and things I love...I am kind of obsessed with this Treasure & Bond drapey plaid maxi tunic! 

Suede Shorts For Fall

As we transition into fall we will still have some really hot summer-like days and that is when suede shorts, in the perfect fall color, come into play. 

Working From Home as a Blogger / Entrepreneur

As most of you already know I work from home which in my opinion makes it even more crucial to have some sort of daily routine. Otherwise you may end up getting distracted with house chores. Or even worse, binge watching Netflix on a rainy day or at the beach on a sunny day. Not going to lie...I am guilty of all three. But 90% of the time I stick to a routine. 

Getting Back Into The Gym!

I took a couple years off from working out...I am not even joking it was like a full two years (and then some) that I did not hit the trails running and definitely did not see the inside of a gym or yoga studio. But I am happy to report that I AM BACK or at least on my way back!

It has been a tough ride trying to get myself back into shape and I am not anywhere near where I was before going on my little hiatus but I am feeling good about myself regardless and I just keep going...that is all I can do right? Even if I never completely get back to where I was it just feels great to be exercising again and feeling healthier and having more energy. 

Fringe Tops & Printed Pants For The Win!

I haven't quite decided yet...

Is this look Boho Chic? Resort Wear? Country Club Wife Attire? Summer Office Style? Weekend Chic? Vacation Casual? 

Whatever style you decide this look is there is no denying that it is versatile. You can dress it up or dress it down to fit your lifestyle which is why it fits perfectly into my sometimes boho, occasionally office attire, but usually casual and every now and then at the country club lifestyle. 

Ahi Tuna Poke

If there is Tuna Poke on the menu I am ordering it. This dish is just one of those things that I have to have and crave as soon as I see that it's available.

The best part about this recipe is that it is actually super easy to make. Once of course you find all the needed ingredients which for me is at least two stops. I cannot promise you that it is cheap though...that is just what happens when you eat fresh fish...but it is totally worth it to splurge on every now and then.

All In One & One For All! My love affair with jumpers!

Jumpsuits are stinkin' adorable and let's not forget that they can also be super sexy, comfy & casual or even fancy. The list of how versatile jumpsuits are goes on and on. So much so that I am 100% willing to look past the fact that going to the bathroom is not as easy as it is in...I don't know...let's say, pretty much anything. But it's totally worth it you guys. Plus, there is a style for everyone. I am not even joking, this trend works for all the ladies out there...you just have to find the style works best for you.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is Coming to an End!

Hey lovies...if you haven't taken advantage of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and you want to (which I don't see why you wouldn't want to) you better hurry. Prices are going back up on August 8th which doesn't leave us much time. 
Since items have been flying off the shelves I went back through the sale and rounded up a ton of must-haves that are still in stock...or at least they were this morning when I was writing this post for y'all. 

Calvin Klein Scarves for Summer

I have always been a lover of scarves no matter what the season. I seriously must have somewhere around 50 different scarves and of all styles. Infinity, blanket, necktie, silk, wool, fur, bandana...you name it I have it. A lot of my favorite scarves are from my grandma.

Lately I have completely fallen in love with silky scarves including this one from Calvin Klein.

Stripes & Fringe in Greece...Okay, it's Actually Carmel!

The Monte Verde Inn in Carmel-By-The-Sea had me feeling like I had somehow ended up in Greece. But this post isn't about that even if I could talk to you all day about the sweetness of Carmel-By-The-Sea and this little gem of a hotel.
