My Love Affair with Boots! It's bad people!

Yikes...so I just counted...26 pairs of boots currently fill my closet! Holy S&*T! I think I have a problem. I feel horrible even admitting that. I hope my husband doesn't read this post.

As you can see I LOVE boots. All types of boots...I am talking riding, over the knee, knee high, mid-rise, ankle, causal, comfy, rainy-day boots, snow boots, dress-up and dress-down boots...ALL BOOTS! I am getting excited just typing about it. 

Homemade Apple Crisp...a Fall Must-Have!

With Thanksgiving less than 24-hours away I am sure more than just a few of us have food on the brain; especially pies...pumpkin pies...apple pies...pecan pies...the list goes on. However, I am over here like "where's the apple crisp?" Am I right? I mean fall and apples go together like turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, wine and well, food! 

This Thanksgiving surprise your friends and family with apple crisp in addition to pie; I am not suggesting you give up the pie...let's not get crazy here.

Is there anything more cozy than a beautiful wrap or comfy poncho? I love how they are comfortable enough to curl up in while enjoying a fire and movie night at home yet chic enough to wear out and about; and the best part is that you are as comfy as wearing a sweatshirt only, well, more stylish.

Mavelle Style Turns Two & We Have Some News!

Let's go back to August of 2013 for a minute. The Hubs and I were in Costa Rica enjoying a mojito and a pretty epic lightning storm when I told him that, one day, I wanted to get back into the creative world. He was not only supportive of the idea but has been encouraging me ever since. 

Pumpkin Decorating, Hocus Pocus & A Little Girl Time!

This past Saturday a couple of girlfriends came over and we drank pumpkin spiced lattes (which we later traded in for some champagne), drove all over town looking for white pumpkins (apparently there is a shortage) watched Hocus Pocus and decorated pumpkins. It was a perfect fall Saturday morning...even if the glitter was testing my inner neat freak! There was so much glitter!

I love unexpected pairings. Think crystal with distressed wood. Or a white 1950's chic leather couch paired wtih a masculine cowhide rug. Okay, I may or may not have just descirbed my home :-)  

With that said...why wouldn't I keep this theme going with my wardrobe and pair distressed boyfriend jeans with a sequin top and simple heels?
