Top 10 Wedding Dress Trends for 2014

Your wedding day is the one day it is all about you, well, and your groom but let's be honest, all eyes are on you. Look for something that YOU feel beautiful in, he (your groom) will find you beautiful in anything. Also, look for something that fits with your personal style, the weddings style & environment as well as simply fits you. Don't try to pull off a trend just because it is "in" and looks good in all the magazines. There is a dress out there for everyone and trust me...when you put it on...you will know!

Below are the top 10 trends for 2014.

1)     Sleeves:

There is something so romantic and elegant about a dress with sleeves. Long, short or even caped sleeves make the dress so timeless. If you pick this style of wedding dress you will truly feel like a princess.

2)     Feathers:

I am so in love with this trend. I love the texture feathers add as well as the fun they bring.

3)     Appliqués & Texture:

This brings the drama but the kind of drama you want at your wedding. You can take this trend and go as big or as small as you’d like. The flower appliqués I had on my wedding dress are what sold me.

4)     Blush Tones:

If you have been following me on Instagram you know I am stoked about this trend. I absolutely love blush. Make sure you get the right blush tone for your coloring.

5)     Dramatic Backs:

This trend is another way to add a little drama to your wedding look. Keep in mind your bra situation and make sure you are comfortable and have enough support.

6)     Ditch the length:

Think short, tea length, even high-low, but whatever you do don't get stuck on long just because it is what a wedding dress "should" be. This style is great for the bride that is a little flirty, loves to dance, for a destination wedding or even a reception that occurs on a later date than the wedding ceremony.

7)     Wrap up in Style:

Whether you want a little something for inside the church or for when you leave your reception, a stylish cover is definitely IN!

8)     Gatsby Inspired:

I love this! The 20's are such a fantastic era for style and should not be ignored. Who doesn't wish they could have dressed up and attended a Gatsby Party? I mean really?!

9)     Illusion Necklines:

This is a great way to feel sexy and like a lady in one. If you are getting married in a more conservative location yet are not a fan of sleeves, this may be the style you are looking for. Or, if you like the look of a strapless dress but are not 100% comfortable in this style try an illusion neckline. You can get the look without the tugging to keep it up.

10)   Painted Fabrics:

This is perfect for the bride that likes to stand out from the crowd on a regular bases, she may even be a little artistic. When this trend is done right and paired with the right bride it truly is a fantastically gorgeous gown.

Let's just end on that beautiful note. There are seriously so many gorgeous options for 2014 I could go on forever.

Happy shopping brides.

XO,
Jenna
