My 3 Favorite Trends For Spring 2014!

There are a lot of fun trends this spring but I decided to only focus on the three trends I am most excited about and currently incorporating into my daily style.

1) Metallics:

There is something so chic about a girl in metallic. This heavy metal style was seen on the runway over and over again and although it was fierce at Fashion Week it also tones down well in order to compliment the everyday lady. To incorporate this trend into your everyday style try starting with accessories. Think shoes, jewelry, purse or even your go to bikini of the season. For those of you that are a little bolder in your fashion choices introduce a shiny dress, top, skirt or pant into your wardrobe this spring.

Top: Altuzarra

2) Floral Frenzy:

I love flowers and I adore a good floral print. This trend is fresh, happy and colorful; all adjectives to perfectly describe spring and let's not forget girly. Pair this style with your personality; go loud and vibrant if you like attention or a lot of colors. Or tone it down with something soft and less energetic if you are on the quiet side. Either way you will look great, feel great and be ready for spring.

3) Blush (duh, it's in my top 3!):

Here it is again; my favorite color of the moment. Although blush is not on Pantone's Spring Colors for 2014 list it keeps showing up and I couldn’t be happier. This is a great color. It is feminine without being cliché girly. It is soft and romantic but can be worn flawlessly by a strong, bold woman. I have been obsessing over blush for some time now and truly think everyone pulls it off (with the right tone for their coloring). This trend can go anywhere and has so much flexibility. In my opinion blush is a neutral, a basic, right there with black, whites, grays and navy! Everyone should use this color somehow. Whether it be with accessories, the clothes that fill your closet, the accents around your home or incorporated into your wedding design…blush is my new go to...what about you?

I love this whole look!
Ditch the jacket to take this look from winter to spring as the weather warms up.

My Sisterthang's Vacation Style

With spring break here (for some of us in the past already) and summer vaca around the corner I wanted to do a feature on vacation style. My sister and her hubby recently traveled to Hawaii so I asked her to take pictures of her outfits while over there. Below is my beautiful sisterthang and some images of her stylin' vacation to the Big Island.

Top 10 Wedding Dress Trends for 2014

Your wedding day is the one day it is all about you, well, and your groom but let's be honest, all eyes are on you. Look for something that YOU feel beautiful in, he (your groom) will find you beautiful in anything. Also, look for something that fits with your personal style, the weddings style & environment as well as simply fits you. Don't try to pull off a trend just because it is "in" and looks good in all the magazines. There is a dress out there for everyone and trust me...when you put it on...you will know!

Below are the top 10 trends for 2014.

1)     Sleeves:

There is something so romantic and elegant about a dress with sleeves. Long, short or even caped sleeves make the dress so timeless. If you pick this style of wedding dress you will truly feel like a princess.

My Birthday in Carmel

This year my birthday fell on a Tuesday so my husband and I took off work to relax, celebrate, shop, dine and drink wine (it was also National Drink Wine Day...how fitting). Luckily, for us we didn't have to go far for some of the best food, wine and shopping. Carmel-by-the-Sea is right in our backyard.

Below is our day (my day) described in pictures!

Cheers to the last year in my 20's!
